Geographic Coverage

The dataset contains comprehensive distribution records of Cousinia knorringiae Bornm. (Asteraceae) known by 2021, based on herbarium specimens and observations worldwide. In total, 24 specimens or documented observations are available, which represent 10 unique localities in Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan). The dataset is compiled for the purpose of IUCN global assessments.

This dataset provides the background data for a global IUCN assessment of Cousinia knorringiae (Asteraceae), a narrow endemic of the Western Tian-Shan, Central Asia.

Title	IUCN assessment of Cousinia knorringiae
Study Area Description	Western Tian-Shan, Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.
Design Description	Data from herbarium specimens were captured into the database and complemented with georeferences, which were established on the basis of expert evaluation.
