Description
This is a checklist resulting from the first comprehensive literature-based inventory of alien plants in Kyrgyzstan. The checklist provides essential information on the species taxonomy, residence status, period of introduction, and distribution (according to phytogeographic regions of Kyrgyzstan).
Data Records
The data in this checklist resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 153 records.
1 extension data tables also exist. An extension record supplies extra information about a core record. The number of records in each extension data table is illustrated below.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Sampling Methods
The taxonomic dataset is based on the checklist of vascular plants of Kyrgyzstan (2014), from which the data on alien plants were extracted and complemented by the latest literature. The compiled data were evaluated according to the field knowledge of the authors.

Method step description:
- The original floristic checklist was screened, and a residence status (native or alien) was established for each species.
- Distributional data were added for each alien species on the basis of the checklist and personal field knowledge.
