Descripción

The checklist contains distribution information on aphyllophoroid and heterobasidioid fungi in administrative regions of the European part of Russia.

This information has been collected and revised within the framework of the project on creation of printed checklist of aphyllophoroid and heterobasididoid of the European part of Russia during 2015–2016.

Records comprise reported data on occurrence species in administrative regions, as well as in federal protected areas (strict nature reserves and national parks), given in particular publications.

The dataset contains more than 35000 records. These correspond to 1100 species, grouped in 337 genera. The geographical scope of the dataset is 45 administrative regions (without Caucasus). Taxonomic coverage is 8 classes of Basidiomycota.

Métodos de muestreo

The information was complemented by revision of some specimens stored in LE that was a base for some published works. Data collection from literature was carried out by the following methods steps.

Área de Estudio The main source for the study was the literature collation for data on the selected group in the European part of Russia.

Descripción de la metodología paso a paso:

  1. Obtaining list of publications. We analyzed the works cited in a large well-known summary books, based on them the primary list of sources for obtaining data was made. The main sources for literature were Library of Komarov Botanical Institute and journals web-sites. Electronic copies of works have been made, if possible. All references were entered into the EndNote library.
  2. Entering data. For entry of data the worksheet in Google Spreadsheets has been created. In the worksheet the updated list of species based on recent checklists of corticioid and poroid fungi of Europe was created (Bernicchia, Gorjón, 2010; Ryvarden, Melo, 2014) for data validation by dropdown in-cell list. The main table contains information on records of species registered for the administrative regions of the European part of Russia and cited in particular publications.
  3. Import data into the institutional database. We use Microsoft SQL Server for storage our data. Taxonomic structure was performed in ZOOCOD standard — the data standard for taxonomic tables creation and multilevel hierarchies representation in relation databases. The required tables have been imported from EndNote and the Google Spreadsheets into corresponding table in SQL DB.
